Prostrate scale
The species name pronus means "lying flat, or face down on the ground." The scale has been found in the slightly cupped leaves of a hebe, and also collected in pit traps in tussock country in the South Island.
Biology: probably one generation per year and probably overwintering as adult females. The new generation is produced through summer.&
