Environmental limits The point at which ecosystem services collapse, e.g. the soil's biological community is depleted to the extent that they can no longer replenish nutrients  
EPA Environmental Protection Authority, a Government agency that administers applications for major infrastructure projects of national significance, and regulates new organisms (plants, animals, GM organisms) and hazardous substances and chemicals. The EPA also administers the Emissions Trading Scheme and New Zealand Emission Unit Register.
