Ctenochiton toru Henderson & Hodgson
Toronia scale
The species name toru is the Māori name for the scale's host plant.
This scale is closely related to the three other species of Ctenochiton, the sixpenny scales.
Biology: Has one generation per year and overwinters as small 2nd-instar females and males. Probably very similar to the other sixpenny scales' life cycles.
