Umbonichiton hymenantherae (Maskell)
Rough scale
William Maskell named this species in 1885, for one of its host plants, Hymenanthera. The common name "rough scale" is because the wax plates of the test (cover) are thick and pointed, like a rasp.
Biology: probably one generation per year.
