Calotachina tricolor Malloch, 1938, orig. des. [NZAC].

Diagnosis

Characteristics of Calotachina include: 1. Body size 13mm; 2. Anatergite bare (this character shared with Asetulia, Pales, Genotrichia, Montanarturia, Microhystricia, Wattia, Voriini group); 3. Wing membrane pigmented at R-M, DM-Cu and post angular section of M; 4. Cell r₄₊₅ open; 5. 1st aristomere much shorter than 2nd, 2nd aristomere about as long as 3rd.

Distribution in NZ

North Island: ND; South Island: CO, DN, MB, MC, MK, NC, NN, SI.
