Diagnosis
Characteristics of Graphotachina include: 1. Body size 8 –10mm; 2. Parafacials with hairs to at most mid-level of pedicel; 3. Eyes haired; 4. vein M strongly looped backwards; 5. OR parafacial at its narrowest point no more than 1/3 of distance between inner margin of eye and antennal insertion.Distribution in NZ
North Island: TK, WN; South Island: MC, NN.
