Occisor inscitus Hutton, 1901, by subsequent designation Townsend, 1916 [CMNZ].

Diagnosis

Characteristics of Occisor include: 1. Body size 10 –15mm; 2. Vein M between bend and DM-Cu no more than 1/4 length of M between R-M and DM-Cu.

North Island: BP, TK, TO, WA, WI, WN; South Island: BR, CO, DN, MC, MK, NC, NN, OL, SI, SL

Biology and Hosts

Occisor versutus has been recorded from Wiseana sp. (Lepidoptera: Hepialidae) (see Eyles 1965).
