Perrissinoides cerambycivorae Dugdale, 1962, orig. des. and monotypy [NZAC].

Diagnosis

Characteristics of Perrissinoides include: 1: Body size 8 – 11mm; Presutural intra-alar seta present; 3. Wing cell r4+5 open; 4. Abdominal segment 2 without apical setae and discal on abdominal segment 3 absent.

Distribution in NZ


North Island: BP, TO; South Island: MB, NN.

Biology and Hosts

Reared from Coleoptera larvae of Gastrosarus sp. (probably nigricollis Bates) (Cerambycidae), Didymocantha sublineata White (Cerambycidae), D. quadriguttata Sharp (Cerambycidae), and Stenopotes pallidus Pascoe (Coleoptera : Cerambycidae).
