Characteristics of Prosenosoma include: 1. Body size ± 10mm; 2. Face with deep antennal grooves separated by facial carina; 3. 2nd aristal segment about 3 × long as wide; 4. Proboscis much longer than subcranial cavity in profile; 5. Palpi less than half as long as postpedicel.Distribution in NZ
