Used mainly in green kete. Better not boiled. |

Muka extracts well, but lots of green leaf matter sticks to fibre. Para sticks hard. Medium amount of fibre. |
| Raranga - unboiled | |
Leaves produce exceptionally long whenu. Easy to soften and of equal thickness. Could be good whāriki flax. Might work well for beginners as is soft. Whenu quite slippery, hard to keep tension. |
