Cells spindle-shaped, containing green chloroplasts, with two flagella emerging symmetrically near one end; cytoplasmic threads absent.
Chlorogonium -
Cells ovoid, large, containing yellow-brown chloroplasts; two flagella emerge obliquely from a sac-like gullet at the cell anterior.
