The release of RHDV1 K5 has been planned as a nationally coordinated programme with a base framework of key release sites identified. In addition to these, further release sites are being selected based on rabbit density and geographical location in order to optimise the benefits of K5 and maximise the likelihood that complete coverage and effective spread is achieved.
