Floras and related guides are like an encyclopaedia of the plants around us.
A new initiative to update and replace the traditional printed copies of the Flora of New Zealand series is the eFlora. New and revised taxonomic treatments for genera or families published in the eFlora provide a definitive guide for identifying and describing plants. Research undertaken on the “discovery and description” and “origins and speciation” of the New Zealand flora contributes directly toward new taxonomic treatments of New Zealand plants that are presented in the eFlora.
