Describing the fungi of New Zealand

Before a fungus can be considered in any applied context (plant pathology, biosecurity, ecology, site restoration, etc) it must have a name. Much or our research focusses on providing names for undescribed indigenous species, and providing formal authenticated published records of exotic species. Associated phylogenies place the New Zealand taxa in a global context.
