Floras, guides and keys
Floras are an important resource, providing an authoritative synthesis of the state of knowledge of our unique New Zealand flora.
Each Flora provides information on the taxonomy and nomenclature and descriptive data for the taxa covered. The Floras also include information on the biology, distribution, and habitat preferences of the taxa, as well as illustrations, identification keys and other notes.
Guides provide comprehensive accounts of particular aspects of our flora such as the Seed Atlas.
A range of interactive keys have been developed using Lucid™ software. These keys provide a more user-friendly approach to identifying plants (e.g., the interactive key to grasses).
