State Services Commission Inquiry – Use of External Security Consultants
The State Services Commissioner has undertaken an inquiry into the circumstances of, and reasons for, any engagement by Crown agencies of external security consultants including but not limited to Thompson & Clark Investigations Limited (TCIL) and its associated companies and entities.

In response to this inquiry Manaaki Whenua - Landcare Research interrogated its contracts and financial databases and found no mention of TCIL or related parties. Manaaki Whenua – Landcare Research’s Chief Executive also has no knowledge of Manaaki Whenua – Landcare Research using security contractors for anything other than routine site security after-hours, and ICT security advice.
