Contributor notes

Contributor Jason D. Weintraub is the Entomology Collection Manager at the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A native of Michigan, his current entomological pursuits include cataloging the primary type specimens of the Academy's extensive insect collection as well as research on the geometrid moth fauna of the Greater Antilles. His museum and field research on Lepidoptera have taken him to over 30 countries on 6 continents during the past three decades. A former Research Fellow at the Natural History Museum in London, he now resides in central Philadelphia with his wife Elizabeth and daughter Maia.

Contributor Malcolm Scoble undertook his MPhil (Council for National Academic Awards, U.K.) and PhD (Rhodes University, South Africa) studies on the taxonomy of the Nepticulidae, a family of predominantly leaf-mining Lepidoptera. His subsequent research on Lepidoptera has been mainly on the Geometridae, the enigmatic neotropical family Hedylidae, and the typification of Linnaeus's butterflies. He was awarded a DSc (University of London) in 2001. He worked at the Transvaal Museum, Pretoria, South Africa, from 1975-1982 and the University Museum of Natural History, Oxford, U.K., from 1982-1985. Since 1985 he has been at the Natural History Museum, London, UK, where he is currently Associate Keeper of the Entomology Department.
