This Soil’s Portal aggregates and provides a launch point and explanatory information to all of Landcare Research’s soil data services.
From this site you can access data from the National Soils Database, S-map, Fundamental Soils Layers, New Zealand Land Resource Inventory, SINDI soil quality indicators, and other legacy soil data products and publications.
The explanatory information about current and historical soil description and classification schemes provides users with the background to understand New Zealand’s soils and to integrate the most appropriate data for their requirements.
