Algal factsheet: Bracteacoccus (Chlorococcaceae)
Diagnostic features
Cells spherical but may range greatly in size; unicellular, but cells may occur in clumps. Number of chloroplasts increases as cell size increases. Cells may contain an obvious orange pigment and a thick cell wall, especially when older.
