Hair from animal or animal skin
Samples from animals may have come from a live animal (e.g. by brushing or plucking from the coat of a live animal; from hairs found in a hair tube trap1) or from a dead animal (e.g. by plucking hair from an animal killed in a trap, taxidermy specimens or study skins prepared as reference material2).
