International samples
ECLAB can accept samples from outside New Zealand that are subject to quarantine requirements under the Biosecurity Act 1993.
The laboratory is registered as a Transitional Facility under the MAF Biosecurity New Zealand Standard BNZ-STD-TFGEN Standard for General Transitional Facilities for Uncleared Goods that allows the holding and processing of quarantined samples, and holds a Permit to Import Laboratory Specimens that allows us to import soil and dried plant tissue for chemical analysis.
A copy of the import permit is sent to clients and must accompany the samples during transportation to the laboratory. The samples will be inspected by MAF on entry to the country, and a Biosecurity Authority/Clearance Certificate issued.
