Social research ethics

Our surveys are anonymous and all responses will be kept in the strictest confidence. The information you provide will not be individually identifiable to members of the research team.

The results of the survey in which you participated will be aggregated to the group level and presented in research reports as well as other publications. You will be able to receive copies of any publications by contacting surveys@landcareresearch.co.nz.

Each survey has been cleared in accordance with the ethical review process of Landcare Research, within the guidelines of the Code of Ethics developed by the New Zealand Association of Social Science Researchers. This Code of Ethics emphasises informed consent; freedom from coercion to participate; individual privacy; confidentiality; and sensitivity to participants’ circumstances.
