Born in 1940 and graduating in 1962 from Ilam School of Fine Arts, Desmond (“Des”) Helmore worked as an entomological illustrator for the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) and Landcare Research. Don Horne image gallery
Don Horne was a Hamilton based photographer with a passion for natural history, specialising in macro photography of plants, fungi and invertebrates.
