Virtual field trip
Citizen science field trip hosted by LEARNZ
Our three-day field trip invites students to become citizen scientists and join thousands of volunteers taking part in the NZ Garden Bird Survey. The field trip will include opportunities for students to learn how to identify birds and take part in the survey as well as enable them to compare their findings to those from other schools and gardens around the country.
This field trip will be hosted by our collaborators at LEARNZ. It will be led by scientists from NatureWatch and the Canterbury Museum as well as involve other local bird experts. Students from three different schools around Christchurch will participate in the field trip.
