This section covers our performance over the year (1 July 2015 – 30 June 2016). Our core purpose is to drive innovation in New Zealand’s management of terrestrial biodiversity and land resources in order to both protect and enhance the terrestrial environment and grow New Zealand’s prosperity. The Science + Innovation group within the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment (MBIE) is responsibie for monitoring the performance of CRIs. Previously this monitoring role was carried out by the Crown Ownership Monitoring Unit (COMU).
