Description
Valves broadly lanceolate with rostrate apices, 20-45 µm long and 8-14 µm broad. The raphe valve has a straight raphe, a narrow lanceolate axial area, and a fairly broad asymmetrical central area. 12-14 radiate transapical striae in 10 µm. The rapheless valve has a narrow lanceolate axial area, in the middle of the valve somewhat dilated in an asymmetrical central area. 10-14 radiate transapical striae in 10 µm.
