- Assisted iwi trusts to improve decision making over land use options using a cultural values framework.
- Assessed sampling strategies for a range of sampling devices to best monitor leaching under large field trial plots. This included installation of large area lysimeters.
- Developed new sensor technology for real time feedback to improve commercialisation of precision irrigation services for both domestic and international markets.
- As part of a national team, assessed approaches, tools, methodologies and knowledge to best protect and improve the health (ora) of New Zealand rivers as part of Te Awaroa project.
- Tested the suitability of unmanned aerial vehicles to determine riparian vegetation structure.
- Assessed international best practice in integrated whole systems research to improve regional council catchment management.
- Contributed to national soil guideline values and human health guidelines for a range of contaminants and industry groups.
- Assessed soil and water quality changes in a restored wetland.
