A Helping Hand
For a number of years, we have supported either the Mainstream Programme or Workbridge by providing people with mental or physical disabilities meaningful employment and an opportunity to gain experience and skills that will better equip them in an open job–market. Our ability to support the programme is largely due the commitment of staff who create job positions, then encourage, support and mentor the participants.
Superannuation contributions
This year 81.6% of our employees were on Landcare Research subsidised saving–for–retirement schemes. The majority of staff are using KiwiSaver.
Employee Assistance Programme
We maintain a confidential Employee Assistance Programme to help staff whose work may be impaired by family, personal or work circumstances; between 1st May 2014 and 28th Feb 2015, 22 staff (6.57%) took advantage of this service, 63.64% of the issues discussed were personal. This service is also available for immediate family members
