The answer is in the soil: S-map 101

Presenter: Linda Lilburne and Sam Carrick

S-map is a comprehensive on-line resource delivering New Zealand’s authoritative soils maps and information. It’s so much more than a map, with detailed “insider information” on the management of each soil type. In this seminar Linda Lilburne and Sam Carrick and will ensure you know how to access and use S-map.  They will outline the rich data behind the colourful maps and how S-map feeds into other key land-based data-sets such as Land Use Capability (LUC).  They will finish with an update on current research including more accurate quantification of soil hydrological information essential for tools like OVERSEER.
